COVENTRY United surrendered a half-time lead in a 2-1 home defeat against high-flying March Town United.

Matty Reed opened the scoring for the home side with a fine curling effort only for Ben Seymour-Shove and Vitor Vaz to strike for March in the second half at Butts Park Arena.

The result means Coventry sit 14th in the United Counties League Premier Division South table.

United broke the deadlock on 22 minutes when Reed cut in from the left and curled a delightful effort into the net.

March improved after the break and drew level on 48 minutes as Seymour-Shove controlled a high ball before calmly placing the ball in the back of the net.

And the visitors completed the turnaround on 65 minutes when Vaz fired home after United failed to clear a long ball into the box.

Coventry are next in action away at Hallam on Saturday, October 21 in the FA Vase with kick-off at 3pm at Sandygate.
