Warning for delivery drivers as Bedworth vans targeted for thefts

Coventry Editorial 26th Oct, 2023 Updated: 26th Oct, 2023   0

DELIVERY drivers have been warned to stay on their guard when opening their vans for deliveries after vehicles have reportedly been targeted for thefts in Bedworth.

Police have been made aware of two recent instances of a Bedworth delivery driver reportedly being targeted by masked men.

The men have unloaded parcels from the delivery van into their own car after pushing the driver out of the way.

The same company was targeted in both incidents.

Police are working with the firm’s security advisors to find out more and are asking people to keep an eye out for their local delivery drivers.

Anyone who sees suspicious behaviour around their vans should call 101 or 999 if they see a crime in progress.

They can also make a report online at www.warwickshire.police.uk or call 0800 555 111 to anonymously call CrimeStoppers.
