COVENTRIANS will be rocking around the Christmas tree on Monday, November 13 with the city’s annual festive lights switch on.
The free event will take place from 5.30pm at Broadgate with entertainment lasting until 8pm.
The city centre will be awash with festive entertainment, while a range of local performers will be getting people in the Christmas spirit.
Angels, elves and other magical performers will be parading around Broadgate, before a sparkle-dust-sprinkling Christmas fairy swoops across the city centre.
Then from Saturday, November 18, the festive market will make its return and Coventrians will be able to see the city centre skyline from a glistening big wheel in Broadgate.
Coventry City Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for events, Coun Abdul Salam Khan said: “Those attending can look forward to a fantastic evening with music, dance and performances along with some sparkle from our Christmas fairy.
“We’d love as many people as possible to join us for this magical celebration – it really is the start of the countdown to Christmas in Coventry.”
