CELEBRATIONS for the most wonderful time of the year is beginning to kick into high gear in Coventry with the Christmas market and big wheel opening in Broadgate tomorrow (Saturday).
Both attractions will be open between 11am and 10pm until Sunday, January 7, except Christmas Day.
There will also be 22 market stalls selling a range of festive food, drinks and gifts.
Coventry’s skyline will be able to be viewed from the top of the 35m high wheel, with the three spires being lit up in the evening.
Coventry City Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for events, Coun Abdul Salam Khan said: “Our fantastic city centre Christmas offer opens this weekend, and I can’t wait to see Broadgate transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland.”
