150 jobs moving to Coventry's Two Friargate after Octopus Energy deal struck

Coventry Editorial 27th Nov, 2023   0

A DEAL has been struck for Octopus Energy to open an office at Coventry’s new Two Friargate building in a move which will see 150 staff come to the city from Leamington.

The UK’s second-largest energy supplier is expected to move to Coventry by February, initially taking one floor but with the prospect of occupying more space in the coming years.

After it reached capacity in Leamington, Coventry was chosen as the best place to continue growing the team.

Two Friargate is located adjacent to Coventry Railway Station and is the second building to be developed as part of the wider Friargate Business District in the city.

Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Octopus Energy said: “This new office in Friargate will enable more green jobs to come to the city and more options for young people looking to stay in the area after university.”
