COVENTRY City will play League One side Oxford United in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Sky Blues host Oxford on the weekend of Friday, January 5 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Oxford are currently third in the League One table, six points behind leaders Portsmouth with a game in-hand.
The U’s recently appointed Des Buckingham as manger after former boss Liam Manning departed the club for Championship side Bristol City at the start of November.
Coventry suffered a third-round exit at the hands of then National League side Wrexham in last season’s competition while Oxford lost to Premier League giants Arsenal at the same stage.
Oxford beat Maidenhead United and Grimsby Town respectively to reach the third round this season.
