COVENTRY’S next set of James Maddison’s showed off their skills by completing a kick-up challenge to raise vital funds for their newly formed football club.
Youngsters playing for the city’s new SoccerRockz Lions under sevens team took on the challenge to complete 15,000 kick-ups between the eight of them throughout November.
The club has been met with a lot of bills during their formative stages, and, keen to find a way for the players to get involved, SoccerRockz coaches came up with the challenge.
So far, the boy’s efforts have raised £525 while helping them develop their ball control.
And all the cash raised will be pumped straight back into the team to buy training kits and equipment.
