'Dangerous' Nuneaton driver is jailed

A DANGEROUS Nuneaton driver who drove with ‘total disregard for the safety of others’ has been jailed.

Ben Dunn was arrested in Nuneaton just before midnight on October 31.

Dunn was seen driving a blue Subaru Legacy dangerously through the town.

He was driving dangerously through Bowling Green Lane, Church Lane, Vicarage Lane and New Road and failed to stop when indicated by officers.

Officers followed the Subaru until Dunn crashed it in a field.

The occupants ran off on foot and the Dunn was located nearby by a police dog and arrested.

He provided a positive breath test ofWarwick Crown Courtn 100 millilitres of breath.




Dunn from Sorrell Place, Nuneaton has been sentenced to 10 months in prison and disqualified from driving for two years.

He appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday (January 12) charged with dangerous driving.


The 30-year-old was also sentenced to four months of jail time for drunk driving to run concurrently and ordered to pay a £187 Victim Surcharge.

He pleaded guilty to both offences.

His driving record will also be endorsed and his driving ban will stay in place until an extended driving test of competence has been passed.
