Bedworth man charged with threatening staff member with knife during alleged robbery

A BEDWORTH man has been charged with an alleged robbery which happened last weekend (February, 3).

Jamie Albrighton, 35, of McMahon Road, Bedworth, will appear in Coventry Magistrates Court today (February, 8).

The incident happened at a store located on Goodyers End Lane, Bedworth on Saturday.

A man allegedly stole a large quantity of meat and cleaning products before threatening a member of staff with a knife after they challenged him.

Albrighton has been charged with robbery and possession of a blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place.

He has also been charged with 11 counts of theft related to shoplifting incidents spanning the last four months.
