COMPETITION TIME: Live like a Viking for the day at Drayton Manor

Coventry Editorial 4th Jul, 2022   0

Drayton Manor Resort has announced the perfect summer opportunity for a fun-seeking family – the chance to get PAID to try out its exhilarating new rides and attractions.

To celebrate the launch of its brand-new Vikings area, Drayton Manor Resort is offering the ultimate experience for one lucky family, who will get to visit the new area and ‘live like a Viking’ for the day, all while being paid to do so.

In addition to a generous £500 fee to spend during the day, one lucky family will get to enjoy the full Viking experience and try out a host of exciting new rides and attractions inspired by ancient gods and legends, including the spinning Disk’O Coaster, Thor, and the mesmerising family-thrill ride, Loki, which is the first of its kind in the UK.

As part of the experience, the newly appointed Vikings can tuck into a feast of delicious hot food from a sizzling BBQ pit at the new eatery Walhalla, a restaurant inspired by the historic heaven that warriors were said to visit after battle.

After a day of adventures, the lucky candidates will also get to experience a night in the resort’s new Vikings themed rooms in the onsite 4-star hotel, which features traditional wooden panelling embellished with shields and paintings of distant voyages, before waking up to an English breakfast to refuel for another day of fun as part of the resort’s Stay & Play package.

The chosen family will simply need to review their Viking experience and report back to resort bosses on fun-factor, excitement, and overall entertainment value.

Victoria Lynn, managing director of Drayton Manor Resort, said:

“To celebrate the launch of our exciting and mythical new area, we’re inviting a fun-seeking family to experience an adventure to remember as they live like a Viking for the day!

“As well as getting the chance to try out a host of exhilarating rides inspired by ancient gods and legends, our lucky candidates will be immersed in a Nordic world of discovery with Viking themed food, entertainment and even an overnight stay in one of our new hotel rooms.

“We’re on the lookout for a family who loves nothing more than a fun day out and new experiences, to come and try out Vikings for themselves. It really is an experience like no other and a real opportunity to live like a Viking. We look forward to seeing who applies to enjoy the adventure!”

Perks of the role:

  • A complimentary overnight stay in a Vikings-themed hotel room, including two-day entry to the resort
  • £500 to spend during your stay
  • Full access to the new Vikings area, as well as 100+ rides and attractions at the resort, including Europe’s Only Thomas Land and a 15-acre zoo!

For the chance to be the lucky family selected to ‘live like a Viking’, applicants should visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk/vikings/viking-for-a-day-competition before Friday 29 July, explaining in 100 words or less why they think they would be perfect for the role.
