THE ARCADIA String Quartet perform works by Haydn, Bartok and Beethoven at Leamington’s Pump Rooms on Friday February 16.

The Romanian quartet won the London International String Quartet Competition in 2012, followed by the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in 2014 and now makes regular tours to Britain.

This programme for concert – the latest in the monthly Investec International String Quartet Concert series promoted by Leamington Music – includes Haydn’s Quartet in E flat Op 33 No 2; the first of Bartók’s six quartets; and follows and Beethoven’s Razumovsky Quartet, Opus 59 No 2.

The series finishes on March 9 with the return of the London Haydn Quartet playing works by Haydn and Vranitsky.

Future string quartets concerts, as part of the Leamington Music Festival Weekend, include the Pražák Quartet on May 4 and 5 and the Piatti Quartet on May 7.
