AN AUCTION of family starter homes in and around Coventry – will take place next week.

The live-streamed auction, by Bond Wolfe Auctions, will start at 8.30am on Wednesday, May 19.

Bidders are advised they need to be prepared to undertake a bit of DIY – but one of the homes, an end-terraced house at 61 Adderley Street has a guide price of just £45,000.

The property has gas-fired central heating and double glazing although, the auctioneers say, it does need modernisation.

Refurbishment is also required for a two-bedroomed, semi-detached house with central heating, double-glazing and gardens front and back at 46 Edward Road in Bedworth, with a guide price of £49,000+.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “For families looking for their first home or landlords seeking to expand their portfolio, properties starting at these prices can make a great investment.

“Yes, they will need a little DIY love, care and attention but the result can be lovely little homes or good rental income, with the prospect of much higher prices if they are resold at a later date.”

It’s a similar story with a two-bedroomed, end-terraced house with central heating, double-glazing and gardens front and back at 146 Bucks Hill in Nuneaton. This also needs upgrading, which reflects its guide price of £59,000+.

A larger three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house with double-glazing and gardens is available at 4 Silverdale Close in Coventry, and although modernisation is needed it also has an attractive guide price of £79,000+.

Meanwhile, for landlords purely looking for instant returns, a three-storey, four-bedroomed, mid-terraced property at 39 Deedmore Road in Coventry that’s bringing in rents of £6,600 a year is available with a starting price of £79,000+.

Mr Bassi added: “The wide range of properties we are offering in and around Coventry is typical of the choice we offer at our auctions.”

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe Auctions’ website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only, and bidders must pre-register no later than midday on Tuesday, May 18.
