Dog walker arrested for assaulting cyclist on disused railway line

A DOG walker has been arrested for assaulting a cyclist on a disused railway line.

At around 10.30pm on Friday (June 26) a man in his 40s was cycling along the line near to Cromwell Lane in Burton Green.

He went past a man walking his dog, who challenged him and a verbal dispute followed. The cyclist was then pushed off his bike and assaulted.

He suffered multiple broken bones and was taken to hospital where he still remains.




A 48-year-old man from Kenilworth has been arrested on suspicion of assault grievous bodily harm. He is currently in police custody.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them on 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
