POLICE are hunting the driver of a black car believed to have been involved in a hit and run after a motorcyclist died on a busy road near Leamington.
The air ambulance and emergency services were called to Banbury Road, close to the junction with the M40, at around 10pm on Monday (July 29).
Thomas Radbourne, age 26 from Tamworth was found in cardiac arrest by a passersby. He died at the scene.
Police say there had been a crash between involving a small black car, leaving the biker with serious injuries.
Officers believe an Asian man and woman were in the car and say the car did not stop at the scene.
Police are calling for anyone with information to come forward and identify those in the black car.
Det insp Collette O’Keefe said: “This was a tragic incident which has led to the death of a young man who had his whole life ahead of him.
“We are doing everything we can to identify and locate the occupants of the black car, and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen a dark vehicle in the area around this time to please come forward.
“Additionally, if anyone was driving in this area at the time and may have dashcam footage, please get in touch.
“Any information may be vital in helping us to investigate exactly what happened in this collision.”
Mr Radbourne’s family paid tribute.
He said: “Our dearest Thomas – the most gentle, thoughtful, kindest, generous, selfless son, brother and friend.
“We have absolutely no idea how we will be able to live without you, we love and miss you terribly.
“We will help speak for you to find the truth and get justice now that you cannot.”
