Therapy centre to offer art classes to help those with complex conditions

Coventry Editorial 5th Apr, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

A COVENTRY therapy centre for people and children with complex conditions is hosting charity art classes.

The Mercia Therapy Centre, on the Aldermans Green Industrial Estate, is preparing to hold a series of art classes for the over 60s to help raise vital funds for the centre’s work.

The independent local charity offers a range of therapies and treatments to people suffering from multiple sclerosis, those recovering from strokes, children with cerebral palsy and autism and many others.

The classes, led by Michelle Stamper, will welcome all abilities and will teach attendees to use a variety of different techniques and mediums.

Classes cost £5 each, with the money enabling the centre to continue to offer its range of therapies, and will be held once a month at the centre on Saturday mornings from 10am until 12.15pm.

Parking and refreshments are free.

Places are limited so email Michelle on [email protected] or contact Vinnie or Zoe at Mercia Therapy Centre on 02476611088 if you wish to attend.

Forthcoming classes:

April 23 – Flower butterfly

May 28 – Study of a ballerina girl

June 25 – Country cottage

July 30 – Dutch folk art (hindaloopen)

August 27 – Seaside beach scene

October 15 – tba
