Toot! Toot! - Tread the Boards take The Wind in the Willows on the road

Ian Hughes 31st Jul, 2020

TREAD the Boards are heading out on the road with The Wind in the Willows in August.

The Stratford-based company will be touring the Kenneth Grahame during a month long outdoor theatre tour around Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

After five months of lockdown hibernation Toad, Badger, Mole and Ratty return in the family production.

Toad has an obsession with motor cars and despite his friends best efforts to cure him of it he gets himself into big trouble, much to the horror of the river bankers and the joy of the evil Weasels of the Wild Wood.

Audiences will be seated in social distant pods of up to six to ensure they can enjoy the performance with their household bubble.

Venues include Binton Social Club, Studley Cricket Club, Wethele Manor, Stoneleigh Abbey, Stratford Hospital, Talton Mill, Ettington Community Centre, Bearley Cricket Club, Henley in Arden Sports Club, Snitterfield Sports Club, The Swan Theatre in Worcester, Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens, and Aston Hall.
