Woman in her 70s robbed in Kenilworth

POLICE are investigating after a woman in her 70s was robbed in Kenilworth.

At around 2pm yesterday (Monday) the woman was walking through the alleyway from the car park behind Iceland to Barrowfield Road when a man stole her handbag.

The bag has since been found.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 9in, of slight build and with an unshaven face. He was wearing a hat and a dark-coloured bomber jacket.




PC Steven Jones said: “This was an understandingly traumatic incident for the victim and a number of enquiries are now underway to locate the offender.

“If anyone witnessed the incident, any suspicious behaviour in the area or may have dashcam or CCTV footage of this location, please contact us.”
