Coventry Editorial 12th Jun, 2024   0

COVENTRY Blaze have confirmed the signing of American forward Nick Seitz for the 2024/25 Elite League season.

The 24-year-old will turn professional with the Blaze after graduating from Princeton University where he iced 114 times with 49 points (17 goals, 32 assists).

In his senior year, Seitz secured a place in the NCAA All-Ivy Academic Team and the NCAA All-Ivy League Second Team.

Blaze head coach, Kevin Moore, said: “Nick is a dynamic skater who has the ability to accelerate through the neutral zone in transition.

“He has a good shot and can make deceptive plays from shooting positions. We are extremely excited to have Nick on board.”

During his time in Princeton, Seitz earned nominations to the ECAC All-Academic Team three times and ECAC All-Academic Commissioner’s List in 2021/22.

The 6ft 2in forward also spent two seasons in the NAHL, where he had 96 points (37 goals, 59 assists) in 99 regular season and play-off games with the New Jersey Titans and Corpus Christi Ice Rays.
