THERE is still time to play your part in raising vital funds for NHS Charities Together by taking part in or donating to The Moors 4s.
At the time of writing, this coming Saturday’s event has already raised £6,738 thanks to 304 donations – close to trebling the initial target of £2,500.
Solihull Moors boss Jimmy Shan is spearheading the challenge – which aims to support NHS staff and volunteers during the pandemic – and other famous footballing names participating include Darren Carter, Craig Gardner, Gabby Agbonlahor, James Morrison, Stiliyan Petrov, Richard Beale and Dan Ashworth.
The challenge itself is both a physical and mental one as participants will run or walk four miles every four hours for 24 hours.
Running and walking hours are set as 12am, 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 8pm.
All donations will go to NHS Charities Together which in recent years has funded major capital projects, pioneering research and medical equipment at hospitals – helping patients access the best possible care when they need it most.
