COVENTRY City youngster Norman Bassette made his debut for Belgium’s senior side during the international break.
Bassette arrived at the Coventry Building Society Arena from French side Caen in the summer.
The young striker initially received a call-up to Belgium’s under-21 side before joining up with the senior team following an injury to Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku.
Bassette replaced Celtic midfielder Arne Engels in injury time as Belgium suffered a 1-0 defeat against Israel in the UEFA Nations League.
The Red Devils avoided relegation from League A of the Nations League by virtue of having a better head-to-head record against Israel.
The 20-year-old has made eight appearances for the Sky Blues in all competitions this season.
