COVENTRY City striker Norman Bassette has joined Belgian side Westerlo on a season-long loan which includes an option to buy.
Bassette featured for Coventry in the club’s pre-season opener against Northampton Town which ended in a goalless draw.
The striker now returns to his homeland to join Westerlo who finished ninth in Belgium’s top flight last season.
The 21-year-old spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Stade de Reims and Kaiserslautern.
Bassette scored three goals across 28 appearances during his time in France and Germany.
The striker scored two goals in 25 games for Coventry in 2024/25 but will now depart on a third separate loan spell away from the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Bassette has earned one cap for the senior Belgium national team and has six goals in 10 caps for his country’s under-21 side.
