COVENTRY City have raised their offer to sign former loanee Carl Rushworth from Brighton and Hove Albion.
According to Sky Sports News, the Sky Blues are now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign the goalkeeper.
Coventry previously saw a club-record £20million offer knocked back by Brighton earlier in the transfer window.
Sky believe Coventry’s latest offer is closer to Brighton’s valuation of the goalkeeper.
Rushworth played in all 46 games last season as Coventry won the Championship title.
He won the Championship golden glove last season after recording 17 clean sheets.
According to the Mail, Coventry’s Premier League rivals Newcastle United have also shown an interest in Rushworth.
