A SHOTGUN has been fired at the front door of a Coventry home.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said yesterday (July 8): “We are investigating after a shotgun was fired at an address in Howlette Road, Coventry.

“Officers were called at 5.20pm today (Monday) to reports that a front door had been damaged by the shot.

“No one was injured. Initial enquiries have led officers to believe that the shooting was a case of mistaken identity.

“Enquiries are under way and anyone with information has been asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, via 101 any time, or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
