Classic Car Auctions revved up for autumn sale

Coventry Editorial 19th Aug, 2024   0

LOCAL Auction House, Classic Car Auctions (CCA), based in Ashorne, will be returning to Stoneleigh Park’s, National Agriculture Events Centre for their autumn sale on September 28. This is the first time they have been at the venue since their online sales during Covid, so they are excited to be back. The September sale attracts over 200 classic and retro cars for auction, and many entries are already viewable on their website www.classiccarauctions.co.uk, but there is still time to entre your car as entries don’t close until September 6.

There is an interesting mix of cars from all eras already on offer, from a 1926 Morris Cowley Tourer through to a 2006 Aston Martin Vantage 4.3 V8 Manual and lots in between! There is currently a strong market for the retro modern cars of the 1980s and 90s as their popularity is rising, cars such as this 1998 BMW 840Ci Sport (E31) and 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII FQ-300 detailed below.

This eighth generation EVO is a well-presented example of an FQ-300, finished in Apex Silver with a blue and charcoal cloth interior. It comes from a private Collection, has had just two keepers from new and has covered 57,000 miles. Supplied with its original book pack and a full documented history from day one, the appropriate Cherished Registration Number, L300 EVO, will also form part of the sale and remain with the car.

Whilst this 1998 BMW 840Ci Sport (E31) is a desirable, low-mileage example of BMW’s timeless pillarless coupé. Purchased new from Elms BMW in Bedford on 23/03/1998 equipped with an electric sunroof, air-conditioning, computer, electric windows, in-car entertainment (Radio/Cassette) and heated seats. It comes to the auction from long-term ownership, with a full-service history and 54,327 miles on the clock.

Gary Dunne Sales Manager said “There are some great entry level classics already on offer and we would encourage anyone looking for a change in their collection to come along and take a look, there is something for everyone with every budget in mind”. Gary continues, “if you are looking to sell a much-loved classic, we aim to make the process and simple and hassle free as possible and now is the time to get in contact so we can maximise its marketing ahead of the sale. We will be inviting entries up until September 6, for what promises to be another fabulous auction.”
