The Coral set for Kasbah appearance later this year

LIVERPUDLIAN five-piece The Coral have announced they are to perform in Coventry later this year as part of their UK tour.

Fresh from a five-year break, The Coral returned in March with latest output Inbetween – to add to their iconic indie hits such as In The Morning and Dreaming Of You.

Since returning, the band have released their eighth studio album which has been met with rave reviews from critics – including The Independant which dubbed the band ‘comeback kings’ and likened the sound to Pink Flloyd.

Now, on the back of their triumphant summer relaunch, The Coral will take to the stage at The Kasbah on Monday (December 12) for their only Midlands date this year.

Earlier this year, The Coral supported The Stone Roses at a sold out Etihad Stadium – and Amarjit Kullar of The Kasbah is hoping their Midlands date will prove to provide a similar hype.

He added: “The Coral are one of the most iconic alternative rock bands the UK has seen in the last 20 years.

“Their latest album Distance Inbetween has proven that although the band have spent two decades in the music making industry, they’ve certainly not lost their edge.

“We’re delighted Coventry is one of the destinations in their very busy touring schedule.

“As such, we’re really looking forward to their performance and are sure their booking will attract fans from across not only Coventry, but also the wider region.”
