A SERIES of nine performances have been commissioned by a Coventry theatre group.
The second of the pieces – called ‘I Am Here’ – will be performed at the Shop Front Theatre at 7.30pm on Wednesday June 7 by writer Laila Alj.
The performance is part of company Theatre Absolute’s two year project ‘Are We Where We Are?’ – which focuses on short pieces including monologues.
‘I Am Here’ reflects on Laila’s personal journey and questions choice and fate. The performance looks back on her life growing up in Morocco and her experiences in her home country and abroad.
