LONDON’S East End meets the Midlands in the latest student production at the Warwick Arts Centre.
East, by acclaimed playwright Steven Berkoff, is an unforgiving portrait of 1970’s London inhabitants, complete with piano accompaniment and live projection throughout.
This rarely performed play promises physical theatre, comedy and profanities throughout and is the first production from Warwick University Drama Society this academic year.
The society swept the board at the National Student Drama Festival in April, scooping the coveted Most Promising Actor, Most Promising Actress, and Buzz Goodbody Student Director awards.
East is in the Warwick Arts Centre Studio until Saturday, October 25.
Tickets cost from £7.50 and are available from www.warwickartscentre.co.uk or by calling 024 7652 4524.
