PUNK legend John Lydon will be playing in the Midlands for one night only with Public Image Ltd to celebrate the release of their tenth studio album.

The former Sex Pistols front man, known better as Johnny Rotten, will grace the stage at The Copper Rooms venue on the Warwick University campus as part of their nationwide tour.

Formed in the wake of the break-up of The Sex Pistols, Public Image Ltd first stormed into the UK Top Ten in October 1978 and continued to develop their unique ‘anti-rock ‘n’ roll’ before going on ‘indefinite hiatus’ in 1992.

Reactivating the band in 2009 with former members Lu Edmonds and Bruce Smith, with the addition of Scott Firth on

Bass, Lyndon lead the band to release the critically acclaimed ‘This is PiL’ in 2012.

Following on from the album’s success, 2015 sees the band prepare for the release of their 10th studio album ‘What The World Needs Now…’ in September, ahead of their 23-date UK and European Tour.

Public Iage LTD’s show on Wednesday, September 23 at The Copper Rooms is the only confirmed Midlands date on the band’s tour, with the tickets being released on general sale today (Thursday, May 21) at 9am.

Tickets and venue information is available online at www.TheCopperRooms.com
