A LIVE music show is returning to Coventry Cathedral Ruins next week – with an added twist.
Replica Live! attracted hundreds of revellers of all ages when it was staged for the first time in 2017, and this year will also offer members of the audience the chance to be a rock star for the night.
The event features top UK tribute acts to Queen and Fleetwood Mac and will take place in a marquee in the ruins on Friday, May 11.
As well as the two tribute acts, specialist live karaoke band Rockaoke will be performing and will give audience members the chance to take to the stage and, with more than 200 songs to choose from, become anyone from Liam Gallagher to Bruno Mars.
Coventry-based entrepreneur Jason Fox, who has organised the event, said it was set to be a special night.
He said: “Replica Live! is just about letting your hair down and having a great time. It’s taking place, once again, in the amazing surroundings at Coventry Cathedral ruins and we believe this year is going to be even bigger and better.
“We have booked two of the most amazing tribute acts to two of the biggest ever bands the UK has produced and they are sure to get everyone singing and dancing.
“On top of that, we’ve got Rockaoke here too who offer audience members the chance to have their five minutes in the spotlight by singing along with a live band – in front of hundreds of people.
“It all adds up to what promises to be a fantastic night out for adult revellers of all ages.”
The Bohemians were established in 1996 and re-enact the glory days of Queen from the 1970s and 1980s and perform the greatest hits from one of the UK’s best loved bands.
Fleetwood Bac fully replicate a Fleetwood Mac rock show, perfecting the Rumours era sound and recreating the mystical atmosphere and on-stage chemistry created by the band.
As well as the music, there will be a bars, street food and a funfair.
