HISTORY will relive itself this weekend as members of a beloved Coventry theatre group reunite onstage for a special event.
Former members of Coventry Youth Operetta Group (YOG) are returning to the Albany Theatre to celebrate the 42-year history of the group.
Drawing from over 60 musicals and 10 concerts staged by young members over the years, the YOG Reunion Songbook concert promises to be a ‘vibrant, musically exciting and unique’ trip down memory lane for musical Coventrians.
Establised in 1973 after Coventry-based performer Joan Betts recognised a gap for a theatre group for young people, YOG provides opportunities for city youngsters aged eight to 21 to perform in two high-quality musicals every year.
The YOG Reunion Songbook concert will be at The Albany Theatre on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 for three performances only.
Tickets, priced at £15 each, include a souvenir programme and are available from the Albany box office on 02476 998964 and online at www.albanytheatre.co.uk/
