Twelfth Day break musical boundaries at Warwick Arts Centre

Coventry Editorial 22nd Nov, 2019   0

TWELFTH Day break musical boundaries at Warwick Arts Centre on Thursday November 28.

The core duo of Catriona Price and Esther Swift have been delivering an adventurous blend of folk, jazz, indie and classical influences for the past decade.

Using harp, fiddle and voice, they draw upon the folklore of their Scottish Highland and Lowland upbringings, as well as their travels around the globe, to create a sound that is wide-eyed, virtuosic, and quite unlike anything else.

They will be showcasing new album Face to Face.

Previous releases include tunes and songs inspired by the Scottish folk tradition and Robert Burns in particular on Northern Quarter, an exchange with Gaelic singer Joy Dunlop on Fiere, and Speak From The Start (2013) featuring interpretations of Morrissey, Blondie and Kanye West among others.
