World-renowned pianist lending a helping hand to Coventry organ appeal

A VIRTUOSO pianist is returning to his roots to help a Coventry church raise money for a new organ.

Jeremy Filsell, internationally-renowned pianist and organist, will be returning to his family church of Holy Trinity in Broadgate to give an exclusive recital on October 31 to raise vital funds for a new £600,000 church organ, after the previous one was deemed unplayable.

Mr Filsell, who now lives in Washington DC attended Blue Coat Church of England School & Music College in the city and was a choirboy and organist at the church before becoming an Organ Scholar at Keble College,Oxford.

The concert starts at 7pm on Friday, October 31 with tickets available from Holy Trinity Chuch or by telephoning the Parish Manager on 02476 220418.
