THE 1,000th home has now been completed on Citizen’s Spirit Quarters’ regeneration project in north-east Coventry.
The housing association has been working with national housebuilder, Keepmoat, on the scheme which is currently in its fifth phase.
Citizen customer Margaret Dodge moved into the 1,000th property with her son, Samuel, and loves her new home.
She said it felt like she had been given a new life.
“I love everything about my new home, from the parking to the atmosphere and the homeliness of it.
“It’s warm, clean and beautiful – it’s everything, I could wish for in a home.
Margaret added her new home had also benefitted her son.
“My son loves that we have a garden, and he is able to go out there whenever he wants.
“The Spirit Quarters estate is going, to be really beautiful when it is done, and it is looking great so far.
Samuel added: “I love having a garden it will be great to have a barbecue in the summer. “It’s such an awesome house.”
Of the 979 properties, 275 were allocated by Citizen as affordable homes.
A further 94 homes will be built in the fifth phase.
Citizen’s director of regeneration Kevin Roach said everyone was pleased to hear how much Margaret loved her new home and added reaching the ‘1,000th property’ milestone was fantastic news.
