12 Dogs of Christmas - Tiger is a bundle of fun

HOMELESS dogs are hoping to find somewhere to put their paws up this Christmas.

After the success of the Observer and Dogs Trust’s 12 Dogs of Christmas appeal in recent years – we are again appealing to readers to find a place in their hearts and homes for a four-legged friend.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, the Honiley-based rehoming centre has found homes for more than 600 dogs this year – and they are hoping it won’t be long before these twelve find their special someone too.

Assistant manager James Ackner said: “It has of course been a year none of us could have imagined, but thanks to the dog-loving public who have opened their hearts and their homes to our gorgeous dogs, we have continued to find dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages their ideal families.

“We want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us in whatever way this year, and we have our fingers crossed that it won’t be too long before we are waving a very fond farewell to these dogs who are more than ready to head off to their forever homes.”

Four-year-old lurcher Tiger is a bundle of fun and energy with lots of enthusiasm for life.

He loves heading out on a walk other dogs and when it comes to owners he is very affectionate so will need to be the only dog in the home.

Dogs Trust say Tiger will make a great family pet and can live with children aged eight and over – as long as they are comfortable around bouncy dogs. He does like to chase small animals so he can’t live with other pets.

A spokesman added: “He is a very inquisitive boy and will make sure every day is filled with fun.”
