12-year-old girl shot in Coventry

A GIRL, 12, has been shot in Coventry.

Police are appealing after the girl was hit with a pellet gun on Dunsmore Avenue, Willenhall, Coventry at 6pm on Friday (May 31).

A police spokesperson said: “The teenager was walking down the road with her friend, when a grey car drove past firing a pellet gun which hit a lamppost.

“The car turned around and fired another shot from the pellet gun, hitting the teenager in the back of her leg.




“Fortunately she was not seriously injured and investigations are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone with any information or who saw or heard anything in the area at the time to contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime quoting crime reference number 20CV/129081H/19.
