OFFICERS policing Coventry City Centre have handed out 13 fines to people parking on double yellow lines on Far Gosford Street.

The City Centre Team responded to complaints raised with the force.

On Saturday, three fines were handed out to drivers ignoring the parking regulations on Far Gosford Street.

Later that evening another eight were handed out and two more fines were given on Sunday.

Officers said even more moved their vehicles before they reached them, adding: “We think that did the trick and the message is finally getting through.”

They have vowed to continue patrols to clamp down on the issue.
