A 21-YEAR-OLD Coventry man has been charged with the murder of local musician and tattooist Mark Nesmith in the petrol station stabbing.
Tyler Smith from Attoxhall Road, Coventry is to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday June 14) charged with the murder of the 35-year-old.
His mother Linda said: “Our darling son Mark was a fun loving caring, talented young man who will be badly missed by all that knew him, our hearts are broken.”
Mr Nesmith was found with stab wounds on the car park of the BP service station in The Butts, Coventry in the early hours of Sunday (June 11).
He was taken to hospital, but died from his injuries the following day.
A 23-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been bailed while enquiries continue.
Mr Nesmith’s family continue to be supported by specially trained liaison officers, police said today.
More than 21,000 people showed their support for Mark within 24 hours of news of the incident and tributes have been led by friends, colleagues and Tom Clarke, the frontman of now disbanded chart-topping Coventry band The Enemy.
