£500 donation makes for early Christmas present for Coventry foodbank

Coventry Editorial 24th Dec, 2022   0

COVENTRY foodbank received an early Christmas present as construction company Taylor Wimpey North Midlands donated £500 towards helping those in need over the festive season.

The donation went to St Francis of Assisi foodbank, one of 15 sites across the city, with the cash going towards supplying essential supplies for struggling people in Coventry.

Taylor Wimpey North Midlands sales and marketing director Carl Cooke said: “It’s really important for us to make positive contributions to the communities in which we build and Coventry Foodbank is an extremely important cause helping vulnerable people day in and day out.

“The festive season combined with the rising cost of living is putting a strain on local food banks and charities, so we were really pleased to be able to lend a helping hand.”
