AN 80s Live concert featuring Billy Ocean, Howard Jones and Five Star at the Ricoh Arena has been cancelled.
It is the second concert to be abandoned this summer at the Wasps owned venue.
A Ronan Keating Ricoh Arena concert at the end of March – featuring 90s star Gabrielle – was also cancelled.
Billy Ocean, the Caribbean Queen singer, was set to headline the 80s Live concert at the Ericsson Indoor Arena on Saturday (June 16).
It has not yet been revealed why the concert has been scrapped but it will be rescheduled to a new venue and date.
He was set to be joined by other artists from the era such as Alexander O’Neal, Roland Gift from Fine Young Cannibals and Blow Monkeys.
A statement from the Ricoh Arena said: “The promoter of the 80s LIVE show due to be staged at the Ericsson Indoor Arena in June, has made the difficult decision to reschedule the show to a new venue and on a new date.
“This decision is due to circumstances beyond our control and we would like to offer our sincere apologies.
“We have emailed all purchasers advising them of their options.
“Any queries relating to this should be directed to One Music Management on 0121 745 7733.”
Tickets for the Ronan Keating concert had to be reimbursed and both will now appear at the Godiva Festival in September.
