Abandoned building fire in Kenilworth was deliberate, police say

AN ABANDONED building fire in Kenilworth was a deliberate act say police.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a blaze in Glasshouse Lane on Saturday night.

The public was advised to avoid the area as crews tackled the fire.

Police are treating the incident as arson and are appealing for information.

PC Jones said: “This mindless act of stupidity took up considerable emergency service resources in the middle of national pandemic. That’s saying nothing of the risks to everyone involved.”

Anyone with information or dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to email kenilworth.snt@warwickshire.pnn.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
