WEST MIDLANDS Police have given advice for elderly or vulnerable residents during halloween.

The force recommends putting ‘no trick or treat’ signs on doors or windows to deter trick or treaters.
If you are expecting a delivery or visit from a professional always ask for ID or confirmation of their work place.
Door chains should be locked at all times, as well as locked porches.
