ASPIRING DJs are being offered the chance to showcase their talent in the company of some of music’s biggest artists this summer at MTV Crashes Coventry.

The two day music festival, which starts on Friday (May 27) at the Ricoh Arena, will feature performances from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Odell, Sigala, Fleur East and Chase & Status.

And now city DJs could join the star-studded line up as the Ricoh Arena seeks to discover hidden talent by offering a 30 minute set on day two.

To be in with a chance of earning this unique opportunity, DJs should submit a video showcasing their skills to [email protected] by midnight on Sunday (May 15).

A shortlist of three finalists will then go to a public vote via the Ricoh Aren’a social media channels and online with the winner announced on Friday (May 20).

Rob Mitchell, head of marketing at the Ricoh Arena, said the festival has caught the imagination of the city.

He added: “What better way to capture this excitement than by giving somebody the opportunity to show just how much they love music?

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a budding DJ to play on the same stage as Pete Tong, Basement Jaxx, The Chainsmokers and Wilkinson giving them invaluable experience that could lead to their first big break.”
