A MAN and a woman from Coventry have been arrested as detectives investigate the murder of Aya Hachem in Blackburn.
The 19-year-old law student was shot in a drive-by killing as she was out shopping on the afternoon of Sunday May 17.
Lancashire Police say a 32-year-old man, along with a 32-year-year-old woman, both from Coventry were arrested on June 2.
The man is being held on suspicion of murder and the woman is detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A 28-year-woman from Manchester was also arrested yesterday (June 3) on suspicion of murder.
Officers arrested 15 people in the days after Aya’s death, with five men and a woman charged; two men bailed pending further enquiries; six people – three men and three women – released under investigation and one man released without charge. The latest arrests bring the total to 17.
