STAFF from a Coventry baby hospice are set to climb one of the highest mountains in the UK on their latest fundraising venture.
Six members of staff from Zoë’s Place will be donning their walking boots to trek up Snowdon to raise vital funds for the hospice.
While the group may be apprehensive and nervous about the climb itself, they say the challenges the babies and infants at the hospice face on a daily basis is spurring them on complete the trek.
Debra Lacey, Premise Manager of Zoë’s Place who is taking part in the challege, said: “By putting ourselves out and raising sponsorship for the hospice we know that we too can make a difference and provide extra hours for the ever increasing amount of families that so desperately look for respite and palliative care.
“We don’t just rely on other people to donate and raise money for us, we also like to be active and go that extra mile and do whatever we can do too.”
The group’s expedition is set to take place on May 9, and the ladies are keen for others to join them.
