Balsall Common dog walker trampled by cows

A DOG walker has been flown to hospital after being trampled by a herd of cows.

The man, who is in his 50s, was trampled by the herd while walking his dog along the disused Kenilworth railway line in Balsall Common.

Air ambulances from Shropshire and Worcestershire, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were called to the scene around 8am today (Wednesday May 13).

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The man had a chest injury, numerous rib fractures and bruising to his abdomen.




“A pelvic binder was applied, he was given pain relief and was immobilised on a scoop stretcher before being flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
