Appeal after Bedworth collision leaves nine-year-old with serious injuries

POLICE have appealed for information on a collision in Bedworth which took place yesterday leaving a 9-year-old boy in a serious condition.

The collision occurred at around 3:50pm on Tuesday, January 6, along Chapel Street near the junction with Rye Piece Ringway.

Reports indicate a Peugeot 107 was travelling along Chapel Street when it collided with the child, resulting in serious injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the boy was promptly taken to the hospital, where he currently remains in a serious condition.

Sgt Sam Bates from Warwickshire Police Roads Policing Unit said: “This collision left the boy with very serious injuries, and I appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision itself or has CCTV or dash cam footage which could help to get in touch.”
