COVENTRIANS can get their beer tankards at the ready as Oktoberfest will be coming to the city on October 22.
The most important event in Germany’s cultural calendar will be returning to the Rialto Plaza following sold-out events over the last three years.
The plaza will be transformed into a Bavarian-style festival complete with disco balls, chandeliers multi-coloured drapes and bench tables.
The event will get underway at 7.30pm with a huge stage for live music from Munich and a DJ and a late bar until 2am.
There will be plenty of other activities to keep people entertained including Oompah bands and dancers to party games.
And there will be steins of beer available and authentic german catering to enjoy including Bratwursts.
The last entry to the venue is at 9pm and tickets are available from £17.00.
