A BEREAVED mum from Coventry has taken the plunge in memory of her twin boys, who would have celebrated their 16th birthday this year.
Amanda Gomez-Torrens, a Patient Transport Services Supervisor with West Midlands Ambulance Service, took on a skydive to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports bereaved families.
Amanda said: “It was the most exhilarating experience of my life.
“Every single second was absolutely worth it. What made it even more special was knowing I was doing it to support bereaved families.
“I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their generosity and support – I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Amanda has raised £844 so far, beating her initial £800 target – and there is still time to donate.
She added: “Our boys are never far from our hearts, and this challenge is a deeply personal way of honouring their lives and the love we continue to carry for them every day.
“The charity has supported us in ways we will always be grateful for, and through this effort, we hope to raise awareness and support other families walking a similar path.”
