Bid for signed Play-Off Final boots and support #RallyForHallie

COVENTRY City players Matty Godden, Gustavo Hamer and Ben Sheaf have donated signed items as the Club supports the #RallyForHallie campaign.

Coventry City are supporting a million-pound fundraising appeal to pay for leukaemia treatment for Hallie, a 20-month-old Sky Blues fan from the city.

The players have donated their boots from May’s Play-Off Final to support the fundraising appeal – and City fans can get their bids in now.

Hallie, whose family are lifelong Sky Blues supporters, was diagnosed at Birmingham Children’s Hospital when she was just eight months old.

She has a rare form of leukaemia known as JMML and has undergone chemotherapy, blood transfusions and two stem cell transplants.

But when Hallie’s last stem cell transplant failed to work, her family were told that their only option would be to pay for treatment in the United States.

Hallie – who, her family says, never stops smiling – was first diagnosed in the summer of 2022 while on a family holiday in Spain and was flown home for treatment.

Last month, Hallie’s family learnt that the latest transplant had not worked and a consultant at Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital suggested their only remaining option was CAR T-cell therapy.

CAR-T works by removing a type of immune system cell, called a T cell, from the patient’s blood.

Those cells are then genetically modified in the lab to make them more effective at targeting cancer cells, multiplied, and infused back into the patient drop by drop.
