COVENTRY City Council bin collections will resume on Tuesday after a member of its senior bin crew lost their life while on duty yesterday.
A council statement released on social media said the decision was taken so they could take some time to support all the crew members.
The statement added bin crews will be back on resident’s next scheduled collection day.
Five temporary drop sites will be open on Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 4pm.
A council statement released yesterday expressed condolences to the family and friends of the bin crew member.
The council is cooperating fully with the Police and the Health and Safety Executive.
